Enderun Colleges, a world-class undergraduate college in the Philippines that offers a full range of courses in the fields of international hospitality management and business administration now offers the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS) degree starting June 2013. In line with its goal of providing the highest international standards of academic excellence, Enderun is partnering with Microsoft in a comprehensive program that provides its students, teaching faculty, and administers with powerful cloud technologies, industry-recognized skills training and learning software.

Enderun Colleges’ faculty will be supported with professional development that includes digital literacy training and an educator-specific learning program on ‘teaching with technology.’

David Tapang, Education Lead for Microsoft Philippines says, “Microsoft’s approach to education is holistic and focused on helping educators with not just great technology, but also skills that are needed to successfully integrate the technology into teaching and learning. Our partnership with Enderun highlights how we bring all these programs together in a way that’s both powerful and supportive of the needs of a modern education.”

Enderun is also adopting Microsoft Office 365 for education to empower its colleges with the learning tools of the 21st century and start building the ‘classroom of the future.’ Javier Infante and Jack Tuason, co-founders of Enderun, believe that this major leap in academic plan is congruent with the school’s commitment to provide world-class and globally competitive education in the country.

Microsoft’s Office 365 for education delivers the power of cloud productivity to educational institutions, at no cost.  Office 365 is a cloud-based suite that includes the familiar Microsoft Office desktop applications, as well as Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft SharePoint Online and Microsoft Lync Online.  It provides educators with powerful tools to create learning opportunities across multiple devices whenever and wherever they are.

Dr. Lydia King, Department Head for Technology Management of Enderun said, “Office 365 is the right partner in learning to support Enderun’s unique BSIS program which integrates business, technology, and management into one degree. It combines leading-edge technologies with an understanding of the ever-changing dynamic business environment.”

In order to complete the ‘classroom of the future’, Enderun’s utility of Office 365 will be coupled by Windows 8 devices from Samsung for an optimum learning experience.

“Samsung’s education solutions deliver impactful, student-centric learning experiences that improve learning outcomes for this generation of students. With our solutions, we can empower teachers, inspire students and help schools to be managed smarter, said Samsung Enterprise Business Director, Rey Lugtu. “Through these efforts such as our partnership with Microsoft and Enderun, we hope to be an enabling stakeholder in creating richer education and effective learning experience for all.”
