Globe Telecom to give APEC students prepaid load grants 

In support of education, Globe Telecom is extending prepaid load to all enrollees of the Affordable Private Education Centers (APEC) program, a school chain joint venture between conglomerate Ayala Corporation and world's leading learning company Pearson.

 

Globe is giving away P100 worth of Globe prepaid load to all Globe subscribers who will deposit an initial amount of P3,500 upon enrollment in any of the APEC schools nationwide until June 30, 2014. APEC offers low-cost tuition fee of P50 per day, which makes education more accessible and affordable for low-income families.

 

“We extend our commitment to education by supporting Ayala Corporation and Pearson in giving underprivileged but deserving Filipino youth access to formal education through the APEC program," Yoly Crisanto, Globe SVP for Corporate Communications, said in an e-mailed statement Friday.

 

"We believe that through APEC’s affordable education, more Filipino students will have access to formal learning which can help them build a brighter and bigger future. 

 

"Enrollees also get the opportunity to connect with their families and friends with their free prepaid load, making their back-to-school experience even more wonderful,” Crisanto added.

 

APEC aims to offer world-class education to Filipino students to better prepare students for a life of success and fulfillment using an advanced curriculum which includes essential academics, professional skills such as critical thinking and problem-solving, leadership development and an ethical underpinning of values such as determination, integrity and compassion.

 

 APEC opened its first branch in Emilio Aguinaldo College in Manila last July 2013. This year, 11 more schools will be opened in Metro Manila key cities such as Quezon City (APEC School Holy Spirit, APEC School Dona Juana Holy Spirit, APEC School V. Luna, APEC School Fairview and APEC School Sto. Domingo), Pasig (APEC School Mercedes and APEC School C. Raymundo), Marikina (APEC School Concepcion Uno), Manila (APEC School Tondo and APEC School Sampaloc), Caloocan (APEC School Grace Park West). – Globe Telecom
