Makiling Campus Runners set annual fun run on May 3

The Makiling Campus Runners, a student organization at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, is once again staging its annual fun run entitled “Makiling Challenge XIII: New Strides, New Life” on May 3, 2015 - 5:00AM to 8:00AM as part of its main goal to promote running for fitness and total well-being.

This year’s road race challenges runners to traverse the route leading to the Peak 2 of the Mt. Makiling Forest Reserve, the most challenging route yet for the annual race.

The event will have the traditional 3-km, 5-km and 10-km category, and a 16-kilometer category for the upper distance runner class.

Assembly is at Copeland Gymnasium.

The registration fees are as follows:

UPLB Student: P250 Open: P 300

5K
UPLB Student: P300 Open: P350

10K
UPLB Student: P350 Open: P400

16K
P550

Registration fee includes singlet, race bib, and race map. Finishers in the 16K category will also receive a medal.

You may register at Move Your Body Sports Shop (in front of Star Commercial Store) along Grove or inside UPLB at its pool area. You may also register online.
