Twitter, Microsoft accidentally reveal planned Vine app for WP8 – Tech site
Twitter and Microsoft may have accidentally revealed or hinted at a Vine app for devices running Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system, a tech site reported.
A report on The Next Web said a blog post announcing the updated Twitter app for Windows Phone contained a screenshot of a Windows Phone device with the Vine app.
"The post included an image that quite clearly shows Vine, the Twitter-owned short video service, installed on a Windows Phone device. The image has since been pulled [down]," it said.
It posted a cached version of the Twitter blog post that still contained the screenshot.
Twitter's blog post had announced a new version of the Twitter app for Windows Phone, which it said had customizable features.
Among the new features in the updated app are:
- Getting tweets on the lock screen
- More languages at 54
- Quick access to search
- Mobile notifications
- Improvements to search and Discover
The new app also has a dark theme "to fit your mood, lighting or preference." – KDM, GMA News
