Flickr users can no longer use Google, FB to sign in after June 30
Starting July 1, users of photo service Flickr will no longer have the option to sign in with their credentials on Google or Facebook.
Instead, users of the Yahoo-owned service will have to create their own Yahoo account if they still want to sign in after June 30.
"After June 30, Flickr will remove the option to sign in with a Facebook or Google account. Instead, you will be able to sign in using a Yahoo account," it said in a message, according to The Next Web.
For its part, The Next Web said Yahoo already announced plans to phase out Google- and Facebook-based sign-ins for its services since early this year.
It said Yahoo initially removed this feature from a sports service.
Now, it said Flickr users should create a Yahoo account and connect it to the photo storage site.
"Those with an existing Yahoo ID which is not connected to Flickr are encouraged to link it up before the end of this month," it said. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
