Sacramento Kings social media manager and fan he met on Twitter just got engaged!

It happens, people! People who meet online do have their happily ever after.

Case in point: newly engaged couple Shahbaz Khan and Ferheen Khan.

Shahbaz is the social media manager of the Sacramento Kings. In 2015, he saw a nice fan photo posted on Twitter.

He wanted to use it in Sacrament Kings’ social media channels, so he quickly engaged the poster to ask for permission.

The poster turned out to be a beautiful lady of a fan, Ferheen Khan, who quickly gave her approval.

Fast forward to 2017 and look it: The two are now engaged. Of course they announced the good news on social media.

On Twitter, they poked fun at each other, with Shahbaz joking, “When you take the ‘engaging with fans’ part of the job ta bit too seriously.”

For her part, Ferheen said she “took my Kings fandom too far.”

They announced their engagement on Instagram, too, where Shahbaz wrote a cute, heartfelt message: “When I moved here, I thought the best thing that’d come out of it was having a dream job…little did I know I’d find my dream girl too.”

How cute no? We, erm, engaged the couple on social media to ask when the  wedding will be. Perhaps they’re still high on being newly engaged that we have yet to receive an answer.
