Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados is expected to crown her successor on October 25.
According to GMA News' Cata Tibayan on her report for "Saksi," Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) has allowed the Cebuana beauty queen to attend the grand coronation night to be held at the Baguio Country Club.
Much has been speculated over Gazini's participation, especially since she was the last candidate crowned by the BPCI's Bb. Pilipinas pageant before the franchise was transferred to the Miss Universe Philippines Organization (MUPO), which is led by former beauty queen Shamcey Supsup.
MUPO just revealed this year's crown called "Filipina" on Tuesday.
The glittering headpiece made by pawnshop chain Villarica features the colors of the Philippine flag, with blue, red, and yellow stones which were described as “emblems of dreams, ambition, happiness, pride, self-worth, and empowerment.”
More than 40 candidates are vying for the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2020, but only one may be crowned the winner at the finals to be held October 25 at the Baguio Country Club.
The coronation event will be aired on GMA-7 on October 25, Sunday at 9am.
