Beatrice Luigi Gomez pays courtesy call on Navy chief in uniform

Miss Universe Philippines and navy reservist Beatrice Luigi Gomez paid a courtesy call on the chief at the Philippine Navy headquarters on Tuesday.

According to the Philippine Navy, Beatrice was called on to meet with Flag Officer In Command Vice Adm. Adeluis Bordado, who congratulated her for winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 pageant.

“Navy Chief Bordado lauded Sergeant Gomez on behalf of the organization whose recent feat also brought honor and pride to the Philippine Marine Corps and the Philippine Navy as a whole,” it read.

Bea was also given a Plaque of Recognition “following the simple donning of rank ceremony for her invaluable contributions and accomplishments as a member of the PN Reserve Force.”

Meanwhile, in a video shared by the Miss Universe Philippines Organization on Instagram, Beatrice was also seen meeting Rear Admiral PN Cdr. Dorvin Legaspi in her uniform.

Based on her Instagram stories, Sgt. Gomez also took the time to pay respect to the fallen marines by leading a ceremony and even did some shooting.

Beatrice was crowned the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 last September 30, and will represent the country in the international pageant happening in December in Israel.

Apart from being a beauty queen and a navy reservist, Beatrice is also a former volleyball player and a community development worker who does MMA, boxing and scuba-diving.
