Chinese New Year: Which zodiac signs have the best luck in terms of love, money, and health?
The Chinese New Year is nearly upon us, with 2023 being the year of the Water Rabbit.
How does this bode for your Chinese zodiac sign? According to Feng Shui Expert Patrick Lim Fernandez, they don't really label luck in general terms. Rather, "We usually break it down to those aspects that people think about: their health, their relationships, and their money and career, luck."
Fernandez, who runs the Yin & Yang Shop of Harmony at New World Makati Hotel revealed which signs is going to have the best luck in love, money, and health this Year of the Water Rabbit.
Love and relationships
"From a relationships perspective, the luckier signs would be the tiger, the horse, and the dog," Fernandez said.
"The ones who have to watch out for some potential conflicts would be the snake and the pig," he added.
Pointing to the Chinese legend, "The Old Man of the Moon," he said people are "usually destined for one person" with "a [red] string tying us from birth."
"It's just a matter of pulling until we get closer," Fernandez said.
In the year of the Water Rabbit, he advises people to be more understanding. "Avoid conflicts, be the bigger person, and have dialogue."
He also suggested to be more open. "Put yourself out there so that you'll be able to meet more people, meet the right one. And just go through interacting with people."
Additionally, he said "The conflict direction this year is in the southeast so as much as possible, avoid putting a lot of activity in the southeast [of your homes]. Or if their bedroom is in the southeast corner of the house, if they can move it a little bit or find another bedroom for the year."
Health
Good news for all signs as the Year of the Water Rabbit is looking to be favorable to everyone, especially "compared to the previous years, with the pandemic becoming an endemic."
Nonetheless, he advises those in the year of the Ox, Tiger, Dog and Pig to watch out for their health and injuries. "If they are able to adapt a healthy lifestyle with the right nutrition, rest, stress management, then they're able to prevent these mga energies from taking its toll on them," Fernandez said.
He suggests taking a blood test or donate blood after February 4. "The would signify some way that they can diminish some of this not-so-good health luck," he said.
Money
"The ones that would generally do well from a money and career perspective are the rat, the rabbit, the dragon, and the goat," Fernandez said, while the Monkey and Rooster have to "watch out a bit in terms of spending and potential financial loss."
"And on the horse side naman, don't be too aggressive," he continued. "Don't overextend yourself. You might find yourself losing money because you're too aggressive," he added.
For those that don't have much luck, Fernandez said attending or hosting happy celebrations can turn luck in their favor.
"Donate or give to charities — that will also help with their luck this year," he added.
According to Patrick, luck can start to change as early as late December. "The second new moon after the winter solstice (Lunar New Year) is usually around late December so the energy starts to change," he said, adding they also consider the Solar New Year, which is more fixed and usually on February 4, minus or plus one day. — LA, GMA Integrated News
