Ate Gay holds 'celebration of life' with family, friends at memorial park

Ate Gay never stops being a comedian amid his battle with cancer.

In a social media post on Thursday, Ate Gay made the hearts of his followers stop when he posted photos at a location set up like a wake, complete with flowers and portraits of him smiling.

It was a gathering with his family and close friends at the Forest Lake Memorial Parks in Biñan, Laguna, but he is very much alive.

"Celebration of Life … Undasko 2026," he wrote in the caption.

In the comments, some of her fans said they got scared for a second and almost sent their condolences.

Ate Gay, whose real name is Gil Aducal Morales, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer last year.

An anonymous donor helped him with his radiation therapy at the Asian Hospital, while a fan lent a condo unit nearby for the comedian's convenience.

After six days of treatment, the lump on his neck had visibly shrunk. In an October 2025 interview with Nelson Canlas, Ate Gay gave the lowdown of his full treatment: 35 days of radiation and five times a week of chemotherapy.

Last November, Ate Gay said he already "graduated" from radiation and chemotherapy.

An update from December 2025 also showed that the lump on his neck has already flattened.

Ate Gay revealed on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" in March this year that Heart Evangelista was one of the key people supporting him in his cancer treatment.

In June, the comedian said he no longer has lumps on his neck and nose following his MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging).
