Katarina Rodriguez the morning after her win: ‘Somebody pinch me, I’m dreaming’
Best believe it, queen.
Speaking to reporters immediately after being crowned Miss World Philippines 2018, Katarina Rodriguez expressed disbelief at her win. "It's very surreal. It's like a dream" she said.
"I feel hungry," Katarina added, giggling.
It was the same sentiment evident on her Instagram Stories Monday morning. “Somebody pinch me, I’m dreaming,” she captioned a photo of her crowning moment.

In an IGS post that followed, Katarina called her win a dream come true.

Katarina had a strong showing very early in the competition. She won several special awards, including best in long gown, before besting 39 other lovely ladies to represent the Philippines in the Miss World Competition.
Making her win even more memorable was the presence of her lolo and her best friend in the audience, cheering for her.

At the post-pageant press conference, Katarina said she planned to treat herself with a cheeseburger and milkshake combo – a meal that she’s been thinking about all week long and which she did good on.
She documented the affair on Instagram as well.

“Give it your all,” she said when asked for her post-win message. “If you really want something, you have to take out all the distractions, you really have to put your heart and mind into it, really prioritize, really internalize and pray pray pray pray.”
And boy did she want to represent the Philippines in another beauty pageant. Hours before the coronation night, Katarina took to Instagram to dedicate the night to the Philippines.
“I have nothing in my heart but love for you, Philippines. Tonight is dedicated for you and for God…if the stars will have it, it would be my grandest honor to represent the Philippines this year for Miss World,” she wrote.
The win comes at the heels of her stint as first runner-up of Miss Intercontinental 2017. — LA, GMA News
