Their junk, our home: Scavenger finds refuge in abandoned car
After being evicted from her rented house along Delpan St. in Tondo, Manila, scavenger Christina dela Cruz poses for a still shot on Sunday, July 5, 2020 inside her "new house" at 16th Street, corner Bonifacio Drive in Manila.
Christina said her husband lost his job at a government agency due to COVID-19 lockdowns in the metropolis, and for months they failed to pay for their house rent.
She said they were lucky to find a junked car at 16th Street, corner Bonifacio Drive.
