Rabiya Mateo celebrates last day as Miss Universe Philippines

Rabiya Mateo celebrates her last day as Miss Universe Philippines before she passes on the crown.

On Wednesday, the beauty queen shared a dazzling photo of herself wearing a golden gown from her latest shoot with other Miss Universe Philippines 2020 queens.

"Last day of being your Miss Universe PH," she wrote on Instagram.

"Madamo nga salamat, Pilipinas! Isang karangalan irepresenta ka (Thank you so much, Philippines! It's been an honor representing you)," she added.

In October 2020, Rabiya Mateo was crowned Miss Universe Philippines. She represented the country at the global Miss Universe pageant in Florida in May this year.

Although the crown went to Mexico's Andrea Meza, Rabiya made the nation proud as she landed on the pageant's Top 21 candidates.

Rabiya is set to crown her successor in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines coronation night to be held this Sept. 30 in Bohol. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
