GMA Integrated News' deputy head for social media, among AAJA's 2023 executive leadership program fellows

GMA Integrated News' deputy head for social media Aileen Rae Perez is among the fellows chosen for the Asian cohort of the Asian-American Journalists Association's (AAJA) 2023 Executive Leadership Program (ELP).

Perez runs a team of young journalists creating online content for the network's social media channels, which grew from two to nearly 121 million followers across all platforms. She was previously part of the 2022 Asian Journalism Fellowship.

She is joined by 12 other mid to senior-level journalists from across Asia, including India, China, Taiwan, Myanmar, Indonesia.

ELP 2023 launched on May 25 and will run virtually until July 29. This is the fourth Asia cohort of AAJA's signature ELP program, which has trained more than 500 media professionals to date.

Previously GMA News Online's managing editor Lou Albano and GMA digital manager Bernice Sibucao were named fellows of the ELP. — LA, GMA Integrated News
