Kyline Alcantara bares reality of being a public figure in emotional makeup transition video
Kyline Alcantara hopped on the makeup transition trend, opening up about the things she faced as a public figure.
“More than a makeup challenge, I always ‘get ready’ for real-life challenges that I succumb to. When you’re a public figure, there are a lot of things expected from you,” the Sparkle star wrote in the caption.
“Each day you have to wake up and be ready to face the camera and people despite enduring the toughest battles of your life. And often times, people think there’s not a real person behind the social media account they’re commenting to — that words don’t sting and get to us,” she said.
Kyline dedicated the video to her “little old” self, who had to toughen up and paint her face not just with makeup but also with a bright smile as she continues to go on with her days no matter how grueling they can be.
“This is for the rest of us who choose to #RiseAboveTheChallenge even if it is hard, painful, tiring, or feeling our dreams are crumbling — even when there are days when we feel like giving up. We rest, we continue, we dream again, and we do our best to make it a reality,” she said.
Kyline reminded her followers to not let the background noise “dull your shine, you can make it. Better days are coming, let us all claim it.”
She also reminded, “Please don’t be the reason why someone else gave up on their dreams and stop rising above.”
Kyline is set to star in “Shining Inheritance” with Kate Valdez, Paul Salas, Michael Sager, and Coney Reyes.
The series originally starred Lee Seung Gi, Han Hyo Joo, Moon Chae Won, and Bae Soo Bin.
It follows a woman from a rich family who suddenly loses everything after the death of her father.
Kyline started filming for the project in October and immediately received kind words from the series’ director, Jorron Monroy.
