'Unang Hirit' hosts remember Mike Enriquez on his first death anniversary

It has been a full year since the death of GMA Network pillar Mike Enriquez.

On "Unang Hirit" on Thursday, his former colleagues took a moment to honor him anew.

"Inaalala po natin ngayong araw ang aking ama, si Mike Enriquez," Arnold Clavio said. "Isang tao na po mula nang siya'y iniwan tayo, namayapa."

"Ipagdasal pa rin po natin ang kanyang kaluluwa," he added. "Namimiss ka namin, ama!"

Mariz Umali also said, "Sir Mike, love you."

Enriquez passed away last year at the age of 71. His death was emotionally announced by "24 Oras" co-anchor Mel Tiangco.

Tributes poured in from his media colleagues, government officials, and celebrities following the news.
