Kara David's birthday wish strikes a chord with netizens

Kara David’s birthday wish for her 52nd birthday was a relatable one for netizens!

On Facebook, the award-winning journalist shared a video from her birthday celebration, where she blew her birthday cake and made a wish. 

For her wish, Kara hilariously said “Sana mamatay lahat ng kurakot sa Pilipinas.”

The video quickly went viral, with many netizens jokingly saying that Kara’s birthday message resonated with them. 

As of writing, Kara's video has already generated 20M views and has been shared more than 130K times.

Filipino visual artist and animator Kevin Eric Raymundo, also known as Tarantadong Kalbo, even shared a comic strip based on Kara's birthday wish, which the Kapuso journalist shared on Facebook with laughing emojis.

Kara currently hosts the award-winning documentary show "I-Witness," and the infotainment show "Pinas Sarap."

Her podcast, "I-Listen," has also just been launched.
