Michelle Dee says friendship with Rhian Ramos, Samantha Panlilio not affected amid legal issues
Michelle Dee said her friendship with Rhian Ramos and Samantha Panlilio remains strong despite the legal issues they have been facing since January.
On "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Tuesday, Michelle said their connection with each other was not affected by what happened.
"We're still very, very close and we'd like to keep it that way," she said.
The actress and beauty queen also said she is OK and doing very well.
"Especially kasi January pa 'yung nangyari, I'm really focused on the things that I'm working on," she said.
"Pero nobody wants to be put in that spot, to be under national spotlight, scrutiny, accusations especially without fact-checking," she added.
Michelle also said she is lucky that the public is intelligent now and that they can discern and check facts.
"We've always said that the truth is gonna come out. And it has been coming out. And you can see it's a general opinion naman po talaga," she said.
In January, a 40-year-old man who identified himself as Rhian's driver and personal assistant filed a complaint with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) against Rhian, Michelle, Samantha, two of Dee's bodyguards, and members of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
They allegedly locked him in a room and beat him up after being accused of stealing an angpao that contained private photos.
In February, Michelle filed a complaint against those who allegedly spread fake news online. She said that "fake news is such a problem nowadays."
"It's so easy to come out with a story without even fact-checking, and I think people should stay accountable," she said.
"'Di naman porket may source ka it means na totoo. And a lot of people are victim to that," she added. "I just hope the truth comes out in that regard and I definitely don't agree na binibigyan pa ng panahon 'yung mga nag-fe-fake news." —Nika Roque/MGP, GMA News
