Joy Barcoma to star in Alamat's 'Sinigang' music video
Alamat's music video for "Sinigang" is premiering soon, and it features none other than Joy Barcoma!
In an Instagram Reel teaser, Joy orders a shake from Jao. When he literally shakes, Joy orders sinigang instead, and the other members come up to her with a bowl of the soup.
The music video comes out on Friday, July 3 at 8 p.m.
"Sinigang" or "sinisigaw hanggang ngayon" is one of the songs from Alamat's album, "Destino," which dropped in 2025. The slow pop song is about yearning for somebody.
"Destino" also includes the songs "LuzViMinda" and "Hapag."
The P-pop group is commended for showcasing Filipino culture throughout their music and video concepts, as well as their outfits and choreography.
Their lyrics also tackle themes like colonialism, indigenous culture, and Filipino mythology. They often sing in the members' vernacular languages.
Alamat is best known for their songs "Maharani," "Dagundong," "Sa Panaginip Na Lang," "Day and Night," and "Say U Love Me."
Meanwhile, Joy was crowned Miss Philippines Earth in August 2025. She finished her Miss Earth journey in the Top 8 of the global competition.
She is part of "The People Have Spoken" as a celebri-peep and is also currently an “Unang Hirit” host-mate.
