Asia Rose Simpson has officially received the Philippine sash as she prepares to represent the country at the Miss World 2026 pageant.
On Instagram, the Filipina beauty queen shared her pride in carrying the Philippines’ name on the international stage.
“Today I will officially wear the name of Philippines across my chest, but I will proudly carry her name across my heart forever,” Asia wrote.
“Stepping onto the stage, I carry the bayanihan spirit - the unity of my country and my people. Philippines, oh beautiful Pearl of the Orient, I am proud to represent you to the world stage!” she added.
She also quoted a line reflecting her connection to the country: “The blood of heroes flows through my veins; the sun and stars of my flag light my path.”
For the official sashing ceremony, Asia wore an elegant ivory floor-length gown by designer Pablo Cabahug, featuring dramatic butterfly sleeves.
Vietnam is the host country of the 75th anniversary edition of the pageant, which will end on September 9.
Last year, Miss World was held in India. The Philippines was represented by Krishnah Gravidez, who finished in the Top 8 and was named Miss World Asia.
