Iya Villania reveals possible name for new baby boy
"Chika Minute" host Iya Villania and husband Drew Arellano are just a few months away from welcoming their new baby boy, and the couple are already looking into a name for their new bundle of joy.
In the press conference of GMA-7's morning cooking show "Home Foodie" where Iya and Drew are hosts, she revealed a name they are considering: "We're looking at Leon."
Iya also shared tidbits about her pregnancy to the press, saying, "the only difference I feel is, mas malaki akong magbuntis ngayon kaysa kay Primo. Nung first trimester mapili lang ako sa pagkain," Iya said.
She said she's planning to rest on the 37th week of her pregnancy and hopes to have a normal delivery.

Iya's diet and exercise during pregnancy
Although she wants to enjoy what she eats, she said she plans her meal to monitor her baby's growth.
"'Yong bawal lang sa kin 'yong masyadong mag-enjoy kumain. Doon ako medyo nahihirapan these days kasi ang sarap talagang kumain eh. But meal planning of course, gusto ko rin kasing i-monitor 'yong paglaki ni baby," Iya said.
Iya said she doesn't want to get her second baby to get too big to avoid a complicated delivery.
"Dahil ayoko siya masyadong palakihin because I don't want both of us to have a hard time come delivery day. Siyempre cute 'pag malaking anak mo [pero] mahirap din sa nanay and sa baby kapag i-iire mo na 'yan. So baka pag andon na, sabihin ko 'sabi na nga ba dapat di ko kinain 'yong ice cream na 'yon eh,' 'sabi na nga ba dapat di ko kinain 'yong pizza na 'yon eh'," Iya said.
She noted that meal-planning is an effective way to control her and the baby's weight gain.
"I'm just really monitoring my intake. I try to plan out when to eat. I really have to have self-control, if there's something I want to eat, matutulog na lang ako eh, so 'yon na lang 'yong mga gingawa ko eh."

Her followers see her workouts on her Instagram and they couldn't help but worry she might be doing exercises that are too extreme, but Iya reassures them everything is safe.
"I've been consistent with it. [Just] because it's hard for them, hindi ibig sabihin ganon kahirap para sa akin. I've toned down my workouts. It still looks intimidating, [but] I wouldn't do something that would be dangerous for myself," Iya explained.
She said it's the lifestyle she's always followed even before motherhood. Besides, it's what keeps her happy.
"It's really something that I stand by, it's really something that I live for. It's been my lifestyle ever since, it's what my body looks for, it's what puts me in a happy state and I think it's also what helps me become a better and a happy mom for Primo and for my future baby this one right here in my stomach. I won't let negativity get to me as long as I know what I'm doing," Iya said.
What Iya advocates is for women to "get fit bago mabuntis, para may confidence ka ituloy 'yong workout mo kahit mabuntis."
She said a mistake most mom-to-bes do are cramming to lose weight while pregnant and forcing their body to do something it is not used to do.
"Kasi 'yong iba, kapag nabuntis siyempre doon sila lumalaki, doon sila nagpapanic, doon pa lang nila iisipin magexercise. Siyempre kung hindi naman sanay 'yong katawan mo magugulat at masi-stress, baka hindi ikabubuti ng anak mo at katawan mo," Iya said.
Despite being an active pregnant mom, she said she understands that other pregnancies may be more complicated than hers.
"Dahil din kasi Pinoy, hindi sila sanay na mga buntis gumagalaw, active, ingat magpahinga ka, of course there are other moms na maselan magbuntis siyempre I respect that," she said.
Iya said if in case her next pregnancy will be more delicate than the first two, she would follow what her doctors would suggest.
"If ever kunware 'yong susunod ko na pregnancy maselan gagawin ko talaga kung ano 'yong sasabihin sakin ng doctor," Iya said.
