Richard looks back at TV ad where he fell in love with Lucy
Richard Gomez posted a throwback TV advertisement where he fell in love with Lucy Torres in time for their anniversary.
The video showed Richard admiring Lucy, who was 19 at the time, and her jet black hair from afar, secretly giving her a note and a stem of white rose.
"It didn't take too long and I asked her to marry me. Its been 21 years since and it feels like we just got married yesterday. Happy Anniversary to you my love!!!" Richard said.
Earlier this year, for her Valentine's Day message to Richard, Lucy posted about filming the same commercial, and about sharing her first lunch with her future husband.
On Sunday, Lucy shared a photo of her and Richard after he asked her to marry him at the balcony of her parents' home in Carlota Hills on the eve of her birthday.
"When the clock struck midnight Richard pulled me close, locked me in his piercing gaze, and asked me to marry him. I said yes in a heartbeat."
Lucy described the simple outfit they wore during the very momentous evening.
"I was in denim shorts, a t-shirt, slippers. He was in shorts, a shirt, sneakers. The ring was not in a box or pouch, it was just swimming loosely in his pocket for hours the whole evening. Until he pulled it out to slip it on my finger," she wrote.
She remembered how she looked and felt dazed to be marrying the man she loves since she was 12.
"He took this photo moments after we got engaged. And if I look dazed it’s because I was. I was going to marry this man I have loved since I was 12 years old, spend forever with him, the love of my life. 21 today. You are my home @richardgomezinstagram.
