Megan Young and Mikael Daez mark first wedding anniversary

Can you believe it’s been a year since Megan Young and Mikael Daez got married?

The Miss World 2013 titleholder and model-turned-actor marked their first wedding anniversary by exchanging sweet messages for each other on Instagram.

Megan posted a super romantic photo from their wedding ceremony, recalling how she and Mikael got emotional at the thought of growing old together.

“Sabi ko kay Fofo (Mikael), it’s crazy how we’re growing old together. We sat in silence for just a bit, thinking about the days and years ahead. I then looked at him and we were both teary-eyed,” Megan said.

“Cheers to more years together!! Looking forward to our future - Lola Bonez and Lolo Fofo,” she added.

Mikael, on the other hand, kept it short but sweet, sharing a few snapshots from an overseas trip with a caption saying: “Happy 10th, Madam Bonez (Megan).”

Megan Young and Mikael Daez have been couple goals for more than 10 years now.

The pair first tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Batangas last January 10, 2020, then again in a beautiful church wedding in Subic last January 26.

The couple recently shared that they're moving to Subic after spending most of their newlywed days in a Metro Manila condo amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Instagram, Mikael shared how they ended up having an "impromptu camping trip" on the floor of their new home in Subic after moving all their stuff — furniture included — rendered them without much space.

"It's a new chapter in our life together but, as usual, the moving process can get a bit bumpy. Instead of stressing about the problems, Bonez and I decided to have an impromptu camping trip in our home for the past few years,” Mikael wrote in the caption.
