Jennica Garcia to parents with relationship problems: ‘There’s nothing you can do to change your spouse’s heart’

Jennica Garcia has shared some words of advice to parents and married people who are going through relationship problems.

In a lengthy Instagram post on Saturday, the actress commended parents working to keep their marriage intact.

For those who were dumped, however, she advised them to stop begging their partners to come back.

“If you are going through something in your marriage but both of you are helping each other to keep the marriage intact, all praises to God!” Jennica wrote, sharing a photo of herself with her daughter.

“However, if only the husband or the wife is trying to fix what is now broken and your spouse already let go of you to start a journey that is all about them (me, myself and I), a journey without your family in it … cling to God and do not beg further for your [spouse’s] affection when you already tried getting them back many times,” she said.

“This is a bitter pill to swallow but truth is, there is nothing you can do to change your [spouse’s] heart.”

The actress said it would be a difficult situation to be in and the “desire for companionship will be so strong during moments of loneliness,” but she said they should have faith in God.

“There are marriages that make it till their last breath, then there are those who end up parting ways for good. Which one among the two, will you end up in? Only God knows,” she said.

A few weeks ago, Jennica revealed in a social media post addressed to her daughters that she was going through heartache.

She also expressed her desire to change her Instagram name, which had the surname of her husband Alwyn Uytingco.

On Facebook, however, Jennica is using her maiden name.

Alwyn, meanwhile, is noticeably absent in her recent social media posts.

Jennica, daughter of actress Jean Garcia, tied the knot with Alwyn in February 2014. Together, they have two daughters.

Jennica is set to return to showbiz through the upcoming GMA Prime Series “Las Hermanas” with Albert Martinez, Yasmien Kurdi, Thea Tolentino, and Faith Da Silva. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
