Kris Lawrence clarifies that he and Katrina Halili did not get back together

Kris Lawrence has clarified that he and former partner, Katrina Halili, have not rekindled their romantic relationship despite recent speculation linking the two anew. 

On “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” on Friday, Kris addressed some speculation about their relationship, including whether the two of them have gotten back together.

“No, we have not. Hindi kami nagkabalikan, Tito Boy,” Kris said.

Although they are not back together, the singer shared that he is grateful for the renewed connection they have built this year.

According to Kris, their improved relationship in 2026 has allowed them to reconnect on a more positive note, especially when it comes to their daughter Katie. 

“But like I said, I am really, really grateful for this time we have together because honestly, when we became okay this year 2026, Katie has been probably the best that I’ve seen her,” he said. 

“Her smile has been more genuine. ‘Yung kilos niya, mas gumanda. You could just tell that she’s so much happier.”

Kris added that their current dynamic is centered on co-parenting and supporting their daughter, emphasizing that her well-being remains their priority. p

“We’re doing this all for Katie. Where the road leads, we don’t know. But at least it’s fun,” he shared, confirming as well that both he and Katrina are currently single.

In the same interview, Katrina and Kris were asked about their recent El Nido trip, which the former described as “a reset of their friendship.”

“Reset po ng friendship. Kasi parang first time namin mag-bonding noon,” she shared, recalling that their previous meeting before Kris left for the United States was brief and limited. “Ngayon, nag-uusap kami, magkasama kami talaga ng matagal.”

Kris also addressed the nature of their interactions on social media, saying it is genuine and unscripted.

“It’s not scripted. Everything that is rolling is like reality,” he said.

In a February vlog, Kris shared he is open to the idea of getting back into a relationship with Katrina if they were both still single in 10 years. 

Katrina gave birth to Katie in 2012. Two years later, she and Kris parted ways.

In 2023, Katrina opened up about her co-parenting setup with Kris, saying, "mas OK kami as friends."
