Sanya Lopez admits she was surprised to receive promise ring from BF

Sanya Lopez said she was surprised to receive a promise ring from her non-showbiz boyfriend.

In an episode of "Your Honor," the Sparkle star narrated how her partner gave her the diamond ring, which she first flexed on "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda."

"Nasa coffee shop kami nun eh, parang sasakyan naka-park na lang kasi mahilig siya drive thru talaga sa favorite niyang coffee shop," she said.

"Marami pa kong daldal kasi ang dami kong kuwento nung time na 'yun, na parang kung anong nangyayari sa life ko."

Sanya said her boyfriend simply handed her the ring and she was not expecting it at all.

"Hindi siya biro," she said. "Kasi 'yung binigay niya kasi hindi basta-basta."

In the same interview, Sanya said they are exclusively dating and they decided to keep their relationship private.

"It's a mutual decision," she said. "Napag-usapan na naman one time, what if makita na lalabas kami? OK lang naman na makita kami ng iba."

"Pero 'yung ipapakilala ko siya, hindi na," she added. "Mas gusto ko rin 'yung tahimik, iba rin 'yung life kapag walang sobrang nakikialam."

Sanya recently starred in "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" as Danaya. The series aired its final episode on Friday.

She also stars in the upcoming film "Midnight Girls" with Jodi Sta. Maria, Loisa Andalio, and Jane Oineza. —MGP, GMA News
