Kris Aquino, son Bimby visit late PNoy's resting place on 5th death anniversary
Kris Aquino and her son Bimby remembered the late former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III on the fifth anniversary of his death.
On Instagram, Kris shared a photo of herself and Bimby, both clad in yellow, as they visited PNoy’s resting place at Manila Memorial Park.
The Queen of All Media said they had to go to the cemetery early to avoid sun exposure, a major trigger for lupus flares. She also said that she is currently suffering from a rheumatoid arthritis flare-up due to the changing weather.
Meanwhile, she thanked those who have been praising Bimby for his positive attitude.
“Thank you for praising him for being humble and marunong makisama,” Kris wrote. “Tito Noy was a great example.”
“Happy 5th birthday in heaven, Noy. Kuya Josh, Bimb, and I love you,” she added.
At 61, PNoy passed away on June 24, 2021, due to renal failure secondary to diabetes. He was the only son of democracy icons Ninoy and Cory Aquino.
Aside from Kris, PNoy is survived by his sisters Maria Elena (Ballsy), Victoria Elisa (Viel), and Aurora Corazon (Pinky).
Kris has been battling nine autoimmune conditions. She left for the United States in 2022 to seek treatment and returned to the Philippines in 2024.
