Ian De Leon posts message to sister Matet De Leon following family inheritance issues

Is all well between Ian De Leon and his siblings?

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Ian shared a heartfelt message after speaking with his sister Matet De Leon, expressing gratitude for their meaningful conversation.

“Thank you so much for the wonderful conversation! God bless us and our family!” Ian wrote and mentioned Matet.

On Monday, Matet also posted a photo of herself as a baby with siblings Ian, Lotlot, and their late mom Nora Aunor.

"We miss you Ma," Matet wrote in the caption.

Ian and Matet's recent posts come after Matet called out Ian in a Facebook post last week about matters involving their inheritance.

“Maraming nangyari sa amin na hindi ko na ni-reveal sa inyo dahil hindi naman kayo kasali,” she wrote. “’Pag nalaman ninyo, baka maloka kayo.”

The actress said she had been careful with her responses regarding the issue and stressed that Ian's statements reflected only his side of the story.

“Nung nagpa-interview siya at nagsabing siya ang sole heir nang paulit-ulit, umikot [ang] mga puwet ninyo,” she said. “Nag-assume na nang-aagaw kami.”

“Mga ‘to naman o. ‘Yung amin, ayoko na sanang ilabas,” she added. “Never kayong nakarinig o nakapanood na nag-overshare ako ha.”

Matet also challenged her brother to reveal his own faults.

“Para sa ’yo, ‘Kuya’ Ian, sana sinabi mo rin sa tao ‘yung mga nagawa mong mali,” she said. “Na hindi totoong nangkakamkam kami.”

In an episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" in June, Ian acknowledged the misunderstandings within the family and expressed hope that the issues would eventually be resolved.

"I don't want to force anything until it's the right time for things to be solved," he said.

During the interview, Ian explained the one-person corporation he established to preserve their mother's legacy and said he wanted to involve his siblings in the process.

Ian is the only biological son of Nora and actor Christopher de Leon.

Shortly after his TV appearance, his adopted sister Lotlot De Leon, appeared at a press conference and said, "wala akong hinahabol na mana."

In May, Matet herself appeared on "Fast Talk" and denied they were feuding with Ian and called what they were going through a misunderstanding."

Nora died on April 16, 2025, at the age of 71. According to Ian, her cause of death was acute respiratory failure.

Dubbed the Superstar, Nora was named a National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts in 2022. She was known for her iconic roles in the films "Himala," "Bona," and "Minsa'y Isang Gamu-gamo."

She married Christopher de Leon in 1975, but they later separated and their marriage was annulled in 1996. They have five children: Ian, Lotlot, Matet, Kiko, and Kenneth.
