Andi Eigenmann's 2016 post is a beautiful reflection of the year: 'It was about becoming'

Joining the 2016 trend, Andi Eigenmann turns thoughtful, 'It was about becoming'

The 2016 trend is still going strong Friday morning, with internet personalities and celebrities joining the ruckus.

Amid the noise was Andi Eigenmann's thoughtful reflection about the strange and tumultuous year that was 2016.

Posting snaps from her glamorous showbiz life, Andi described 2016 as "golden." She was jet-setting the world, appearing in magazine covers, winning her first FAMAS award, and witnessing her mother, Jaclyn Jose's historic win at Cannes.

"Behind the bright lights, I was quietly struggling with my mental health, carrying battles no one could see," Andi wrote.

According to the former artista, her "journey started to shift" in 2016.

"I began exploring islands, going on little adventures with Ellie and my friends, chasing open quiet shores, and waves!"

It was in her little quests that Andi "was met with a life that felt unmistakably meant for" her and her daughter Ellie.

"All that was left was the courage to take the leap," she said.

We all know what happened next. Andi moved to Siargao, met her now-fiance Philmar Apayao, and built not only a peaceful life in the island but a happy family too. Apart from Ellie, she now also has two more kids with Philmar, Lilo and Koa.

"I will always cherish these moments as some of the best days of my life too," Andi said before delivering quite the line: The year "2016 wasn’t just about being successful. It was about becoming."

How beautiful, isn't it?
