A total of 128 boys got circumcised for free with the help of GMA Kapuso Foundation and its partner, the Philippine Children's Medical Center.

According to a "24 Oras" report, among the beneficiaries of the Operation Circumcision were teenage brothers Jo and Junior.

"Pabalik-balik po ako nagpapacheck-up din sa doktor kaya hindi ko rin sila naaasikaso, kaya ngayon po opportunity na po namin," said their mother, Josephine Camelo.

Lilibeth Agao, who accompanied her grandson, Nick, also shared that getting a circumcision at the clinic near them would cost them around P1,500 to P1,800.

Meanwhile, pediatric surgeon Dr. Beda Espineda dismissed the myth that circumcision makes one grow taller.

"Seven, eight years old sa lalaki, growth period 'yun eh. May mga pamilya na smaller talaga, hindi talaga lalaki, kasabihan lang po 'yun. Ang pinaka-importante dito na magagawa ng tuli ay hygiene, malinis," said Dr. Espineda.
