H.E.R. goes on a jeepney joy ride

Fresh from the success of "Forgotten Island" press stop in Manila, H.E.R. took to social media to share her jeepney joy ride experience.

On Instagram early Tuesday, the Fil-Am singer posted a quick video of herself and a number of her crew inside a jeep, going out for a ride.

"We're out here on the jeepney. Real Filipino," H.E.R. said as she panned the camera to the back of the jeep that show they were being tailed by a motorcycle with a makeshift body that makes it look like a cross between a tricycle and a mini jeep.

"Andito kami sa Manila," she continued, showcasing what's outside her window: a residential Manila street, complete with neighborhood sari-sari stores, tambays, and parked vehicles.

H.E.R. didn't indicate when she filmed her jeepney joy ride, but judging from her comment — "It's real hot," she said — and the dry street with the sun out, it clearly wasn't over the weekend when Habagat rains rendered a lot of Manila streets wet, and worse flooded.

Together with co-star Liza Soberano, H.E.R. was in Manila in August to promote the animated movie "Forgotten Island."

On Sunday, H.E.R. posted snaps from her Manila visit and said her "lola would be so proud!"

"Forgotten Island" will hit Philippine theaters on September 23. Tickets are now on sale.
