Nintendo Direct: 7 exciting games coming to the Switch 2

Nintendo has a stacked lineup of new games for its players, as revealed in the Nintendo Direct on Wednesday night.

From brand new titles to continuations and expansions of old favorites, here are some of the most exciting video games coming to the Switch 2 console:

Final Fantasy VII Revelation

Cloud and Sephiroth are coming back!

"Final Fantasy VII Revelation," the third and final entry in the "Final Fantasy VII" remake trilogy, has been officially announced for the Switch 2. It follows the events of "Final Fantasy VII Remake" and ""Final Fantasy VII Rebirth."

It launches on April 8, 2027.

Kirby and the World Beyond

Kirby is off on another fun journey in "Kirby and the World Beyond."

Nintendo promises an "expansive world" for players to explore freely, putting to use Kirby's powered-up Copy Abilities to rescue a girl with mysterious powers from King Dedede.

Just in time for the "Kirby" series' 35th anniversary, the game is headed to the Switch 2 in spring 2027.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis

We're going on another globe-trotting quest with Lara Croft!

"Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis" is a reimagining of the 1996 classic, "Tomb Raider," the second after "Tomb Raider: Anniversary."

The upcoming game takes players to Peru, Greece, and Egypt to recover the scattered pieces of the Scion, a powerful ancient artifact.

It will launch on the Switch 2 on February 12, 2027.

Metroid Ravenous

Nintendo is coming out with an all-new 2D action-adventure video game titled "Metroid Ravenous."

Users get to play as Samus Aran, a renowned bounty hunter marooned on an unfamiliar moon.

It will launch exclusively on the Switch 3 on January 28, 2027.

Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass Part 2

The highly popular "Pokémon Pokopia" is getting more content!

Nintendo announced Part 2 of its Expansion Pass paid DLC.

The expansion brings in new in-game accessories, allowing for more customization and fashion choices.

It is now available for purchase at the Nintendo eShop.

Meccha Chameleon

"Meccha Chameleon," the hide-and-seek game that recently took the world by storm, is coming to the Switch 2.

The viral multiplayer game has players using their painting skills to blend into their surroundings.

Switch 2 users can now join in on the fun, as the game has already been made available on the Nintendo eShop.

Monster Hunter Wilds

The latest installation in the "Monster Hunter" franchise is coming to the Switch 2.

"Monster Hunter Wilds," released in 2025, takes players on an expedition to the mysterious Forbidden Lands.

It launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4.
