Blackpink's Jisoo to star in new drama

Blackpink's Jisoo has been cast in a leading role for a new drama.

According to a Soompi report, a source from YG Entertainment confirmed the news. The drama is tentatively titled "Snowdrop."

Jisoo previously appeared in "Arthdal Chronicles" as a love interest for Song Joong Ki. She also had a cameo in "The Producers."

Meanwhile, Blackpink will release their collaboration with Selena Gomez on August 28. They will also drop their first full-length album on October 2.

The K-pop group had a multi-record-breaking comeback in June with the release of their song "How You Like That."

Formed in 2016, Blackpink is a South Korean girl group consisting of members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. —MGP, GMA News
