The 16-episode series follows the story of a health care worker at a psychiatric ward named Moon Kang-tae (Kim Soo-hyun) who falls in love with a children's book author named Go Moon-young (Seo Ye-ji) with an antisocial personality disorder.
The two will later end up healing each other's emotional and psychological wounds.
Moon Kang-tae is also the guardian of his brother Sang Tae (Oh Jung-se), who is eight years older than him and is on the autism spectrum.
In the Netflix series, Mang Tae is a significant doll which serves as a bad dream catcher. It's a sentimental toy that Kang Tae gave to his brother Sang Tae when they were kids.
Kang Tae eventually gives the doll to Moon Young after having several bad dreams.
