GMA-7's 'Descendants of the Sun' adaptation makes it to Netflix' Top 10 shows in the country


GMA-7's Philippine adaptation of the hit K-drama "Descendants of the Sun" has made it to Netflix' Top 10 shows in the country.

"Descendants of the Sun" was seen listed on the eighth spot of the "Top 10 TV Shows in the Philippines," surpassing Nickelodeon animated shows "The Loud House" and "Spongebob Squarepants."

The show is also the only Filipino TV series in the Top 10 listed among other popular shows including "Start-Up," "The Queen's Gambit," "Deadly Class," "Cocomelon," "Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol," "Dash & Lily," and "Record of Youth."

Filipino TV and film writer RJ Nuevas also posted a screenshot of the post on his Facebook account, thanking those who have watched the show via the streaming platform.

"Yey nasa top 10 list ang Descendants of the Sun PH sa Netflix! Maraming salamat sa mga nanood!" he wrote in the caption.

"Descendants of the Sun" has returned on TV on October 26 starting with a two-week recap. It premiered on Netflix on November 13.

The show stars Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes, Jennylyn Mercado, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and Rocco Nacino, among others.
