Chris Evans 'eager to visit' Philippines after partnership with telco
Chris Evans may be Captain America, but he is raring for the opportunity to travel to the Philippines after partnering with Smart Communications Inc.
In a virtual press conference on Monday, Smart President and CEO Al Panlilio said Evans has an "open invitation" to come to the country once travel restrictions are no longer an issue.
Evans himself confirmed that he is interested in visiting the Philippines.
"I can't wait to get out there," he said. "I have heard nothing but amazing things and this partnership only makes me more excited to come and say hi."
Asked what he heard or know about the country, Captain America mentioned the three things that many tourists love about the Philippines.
"I've heard great things. Great beaches!" he said. "I heard great food. Wonderful people."
"Every time I am in any sort of Asian territory it's always hard to leave because it is incredibly welcoming and aesthetically beautiful so I am eager to visit," he added.
Evans is the Smart's first-ever Hollywood A-list endorser. He was unveiled as the face of its "Live Smarter for a Better World" 2021 campaign, which aims to address the digital divide.
