Pauline Amelinckx is crowned the first-ever The Miss Philippines

Pauline Amelinckx has a new crown!

The beauty queen was named as the first-ever The Miss Philippines. She received her crown and sash at her homecoming event in Manila following the Miss Supranational pageant.

Pauline was crowned by Miss Universe Philippines National Director Shamcey Supsup, with the pageant’s Creative and Events Director Jonas Gaffud also present.

“As The Miss Philippines, Pauline represents confidence, intelligence, and positive change in addition to being a beauty queen,” The Miss Philippines said on Instagram.

“You embody not only the Filipino spirit that has made you the queen you are today, but you have also filled the hearts of every Filipino with joy and pride. Your journey brought people together in celebration of the Filipina's beauty, wisdom, and influence,” the pageant added in another post. “We are eager to see the positive change you will bring as the first-ever The Miss Philippines Queen!”

The pageant is dubbed “the newest, most innovative and modern pageant in the Philippines” on Facebook.

Applications for The Miss Philippines are now open, with the coronation night happening in October, according to Pep. The winning queens will represent the Philippines in Miss Supranational and Miss Charm.

In July, Pauline was proclaimed the 1st runner-up in the Miss Supranational 2023 competition held in Poland. During the preliminaries, she became a finalist in a round of Supra Chat.

She called the journey and crown “a victory.”

Pauline was named Miss Supranational Philippines following her third try at the Miss Universe Philippines pageant last May.

She also had a homecoming parade in her hometown of Bohol.
