Pia Wurtzbach publishes her first book 'Queen of the Universe'

Pia Wurtzbach just checked another list off her bucket list in publishing her first ever book, "Queen of the Universe."

On Instagram, the Miss Universe 2015 expressed her gratitude for all her supporters who came to her booth during the Manila International Book Fair to have her signature on their copies.

"Wow wow wow," Pia wrote. "I am so overwhelmed by all the love you've shown for 'Queen of the Universe'."

"I was nervous as the Manila International Book Fair was drawing closer... but seeing all your tags, stories, posts and reels (some of you even quote words from the book) got me [so] KILIG!" she added.

Pia then acknowledged those who lined up early for the meet and greet with her.

"This was a project that I thought would be shelved," the beauty queen said.

"It took so long because we had so many setbacks... but here we are now," she added. "Dreams do come true."

Pia also took the opportunity to say that print is and will never be dead.

"Reading will never be passé," she said. "I want to take this opportunity to say, let's support authors and novelists, especially Filipino writers."

"Now I know how much 'blood, sweat and tears' there is to produce and get a book out there," she added.

Pia ended her post with an inspiring message for writers to keep writing stories "that will allow us to express and learn about ourselves."

"Let's continue to read so that we, too, can learn about other people's struggles and strengths," she said.

"Please buy a book and share [it] with a friend so that we can continue writing and printing books for many years to come."

"Queen of the Universe" is now available in leading bookstores nationwide.

Other celebrities who have published books include Heart Evangelista, Alden Richards, Maine Mendoza, and Michael V. Solenn Heussaff's husband, Nico Bolzico, is also set to publish his own book soon.
