Halloween 2025: Fun activities to do this spooky season in Metro Manila and beyond

Halloween is just around the corner! Celebrated every October 31, it falls on a Friday this year, which, according to the Official Gazette, is a special non-working holiday.

If you're looking for something more exciting than just watching spooky shows, we've got you covered. From thrilling walkathons to eerie nighttime explorations, here are some fun-filled activities to make your Halloween truly unforgettable.

1. Masungi nighttime trail

Called “Masungi After Hours: A Halloween Special,” this hiking activity in Masungi Georeserve in Rizal will take guests on a breathtaking night trail as they listen to stories about Philippine mythology.

The Halloween activity will run from October 30 to November 2 with five time slots a day: 5:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m., 9:30 p.m., and 11:00 p.m.

To join, guests must first register on the website and pay a conservation fee worth P2,000. Groups of three or more can avail of a special rate of P1,800 per guest.

 

2. Filipiniana Night in Fort Santiago

For this year’s Halloween, Intramuros Administration is hosting a Filipiniana Night Trick or Treat on October 31 at Plaza Moriones in Fort Santiago. 

In this activity, participants are encouraged to come in their best Filipiniana or Baro’t Saya attire and experience Halloween the Filipino way. 

Participants will enjoy an exciting afternoon of treats, fun games, and creative activities for kids and families, such as trick or treat, stencil art making, bobbing apples, fruit and vegetable carving competition, and a home of Halloween trivia hunt. 

Activities are free, but participants need to pay the entrance fee to Fort Santiago, which is P75 for regular visitors and P50 for children below 18 years old, senior citizens, students, persons with disabilities, solo parents, and government employees. 

 

3. Night at the Museum in Casa Manila

Another activity to try in the Intramuros Complex is the Night at the Museum in Casa Manila on October 30.

In this activity, Casa Manila will “open a doorway to the past, where echoes of old Manila return to life and the stories of the characters wander once more in every corner of the Casa.”

 

4. Howl-O-Ween Purrade at BlueWave Mall

Want to participate in a fun Halloween activity with your beloved pets

On October 25, BlueWave Mall in Marikina will host the “Howl-O-Ween Purrade 2025” from 3 to 5 p.m.

The program includes a pet trick-or-treat and costume contest with awards, prizes, and giveaways for both winners and participants.

 

5. One Thrill & Tricks at One Mall

Another fun Halloween pet activity to check out is the “One Thrill & Tricks: Pets Halloween Party 2025” that will be held at One Mall in Valenzuela City on October 25, 2 p.m. 

Registration requires a minimum purchase of P300 from any One Mall store dated between October 6 and 24, with slots available at the administration office.

 

6. Binondo Nighttime Walk 

Also happening on October 25 is “Ghosts of Binondo: Tale and Trail,” organized by Fine Philippine Books, Ramada by Wyndham Manila Central, Manila Chinatown Information Center (MCIC), and Nilad Community.

In this spooktacular activity, participants will experience an eerie and exciting nighttime walking tour around the historic and mystical streets of Binondo, Manila. 

Aside from this walkathon, watch out for other exciting activities such as a Halloween costume contest, live reading of horror stories, games, as well as dinner.

To join, you have to pay a P300 registration fee.

 

7. Halloween at the Mind Museum 

The Mind Museum in Taguig City has a chilling and thrilling lineup of science activities that you can enjoy.

Kicking off the festivities is “Mind Pub Quiz Night: Tarot Ato!” a quiz night with a twist. Open to adults 18 and above, the event will challenge participants' knowledge of spooky science, eerie pop culture, and chilling current events. Described as a night of katatakutan, katatawanan, at katanungan, the quiz night will take place on October 24 at 6 p.m., with tickets priced at P550 per person.

Families looking for a more hands-on experience can join the “Mind S-Cool Workshop: Bizarre Botanicals” on October 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This unique workshop dives into the weirder side of plant life, combining science and art to let kids and families create their own strange and fascinating plants. The workshop fee is P2,000 per participant.

Also on October 25, the museum will transform after dark for “After Hours: Parade of Phobias." In this special evening activity, guests can explore all five museum galleries in the dark and take part in a mixed reality experience designed to confront and understand common fears. 

Capping off the evening is “Better World Café: Tabi-Tabi Po,” an engaging and eerie discussion that explores the scientific and cultural roots of Philippine mythological creatures. From biology to psychology, the talk will uncover the real-world inspirations behind local folklore in an intimate cafe setting.

 

8. Night at the Museums in Ermita

Get ready to experience Ermita, Manila’s museums in this cool way.

Night at the Museums is a museum-hopping tour with stops at the National Library of the Philippines Permanent Gallery, National Museum of Natural History, Museo ng Medalya Milagrosa, Technological University of the Philippines’ outdoor mural gallery, and the Manila Clock Tower Museum.

“Museums open their doors past sunset, offering quiet rooms filled with memory instead of noise. It’s the kind of night where learning feels almost indulgent, and walking from one place to another feels like discovering the city’s better self,” Manila Girls said on Facebook.

It will be held on October 24, Friday, with the meet-up time at 3 p.m.

The tour is priced at P900 per head. Registration is done through a Google Form on the Manila Girls’ Facebook page, and closes on October 23, Thursday at 12 p.m.
