Evan, formerly Heeseung of Enhypen, is here to stay.

The K-pop idol has officially released his debut single, “Ride or Die,” along with its accompanying music video.

In the nearly two-minute-and-30-second music video, Evan reintroduces himself as a rock star, dancing to the song’s beats while sporting a facial scar and icy blonde hair.

The song’s lyrics also mirror Evan’s hardships over the years and invite fans to join him on a new “unforgettable” journey.

“Took a couple tries just to be right, I'll be here even if it crumbles, it will be alright,” the pre-chorus lyrics read.

Evan announced his departure from Enhypen on March 10. In a statement, record label BeLift Lab reaffirmed that he would not be returning to the group.

Following his departure, Evan wrote a message expressing his gratitude to fans.

In April, he announced the start of his solo journey as Evan and launched his solo Instagram account, @h_evva_n.

In the same month, Evan made his first public appearance as a solo artist at an event for a contact lens brand held at a fashion and beauty complex in Seoul, South Korea. —Hermes Joy Tunac/JCB, GMA News
