Pinoy Olivia Rodrigo fans join global hunt for exclusive LEGO brick-built vinyl collectibles

Filipino Olivia Rodrigo fans were among those who took part in the surprise Global Vinyl Hunt organized by the LEGO Group on Saturday.

The worldwide activation saw 333 exclusive LEGO® Editions x Olivia Rodrigo brick-built vinyl collectibles hidden in selected record stores around the world.

The Philippines was among the participating countries, with 31 collectibles hidden across two participating record stores. One of the locations was The Grey Market Records in White Plains, Quezon City.

A day before the event, the LEGO Group teased the locations by posting coordinates on social media, leading fans to the participating stores.

At The Grey Market Records on Saturday, fans began lining up as early as 9 a.m. before the hunt officially started.

Participants were admitted in batches, with three vinyl covers hidden for each batch. Four batches were held throughout the event.

The exclusive collectibles came in three different cover designs inspired by Olivia’s albums: “SOUR,” “GUTS,” and her latest album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl so in Love.”

Among those who found the newest album design was 22-year-old Catherine, who admitted she was anxious before the hunt began.

"At first, I was so nervous because there are so many lining up today and there was a delay. But then, as I was searching for it, I was so excited to find one. And finally, here it is," she said.

Twenty-four-year-old Johann also managed to find the same design after returning for another try.

"I'm shaking. This is the one I wanted to get. Great feeling right now," he said.

Johann shared that he only learned the Philippines would be included in the Global Vinyl Hunt the night before the event.

"I actually found out like last night. I didn't know if they'll include the Philippines, but then I saw they posted the coordinates. Then I Googled that," he said.

The Global Vinyl Hunt forms part of the LEGO Group's collaboration with Olivia.

The Filipino-American singer released her third album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love” in June. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

It also became Spotify's most-streamed album of 2026 in a single day by a female artist.

Olivia also recently launched Daisy Chain Fields, a new all-women music festival set for August 29 at the Great Park in Irvine, California.

She said that 100% of the net proceeds will go to charities "dedicated to advancing and advocating for women and girls." —JCB, GMA News
