'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' surpasses P1B in PH box office sales

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has broken the P1 billion mark at the Philippine box office, officially grossing P1,055,450,903 during its second weekend in theaters.

Among the highest-grossing cinemas in the Philippines for the film are SM Megamall, Power Plant Cinema, TriNoma, SM Mall of Asia, and SM North EDSA, among others.

On its opening day in the Philippines alone, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” earned P95.9 million.

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is set four years after the memory-wipe in "Spider-Man: Far From Home." In earlier trailers, Peter Parker has been shown losing control of himself and his powers as he struggles with what Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) describes as mutating DNA.
