R'Bonney Gabriel after early exit from 'Project Runway': 'Trying and failing is always better than not trying at all'
R'Bonney Gabriel was sent home after just one week on "Project Runway" season 22 but our girl is such a queen, she's quickly reframed the setback as an opportunity.
On social media, Miss Universe 2022 put the spotlight on the "design that got me cut in the first week" of the reality show and stood by it.
"I love this design, but the judges didn't, and thats OK," she began, adding "I’ll forever believe that trying and failing is always better than not trying at all."
Acknowledging how easily we. convince ourselves out of risks because of fear, R'Bonney showcased her winning gung-ho attitude by saying "Who cares?"
"Life is too short not to go after opportuntiies," she added.
Turning her attention back to her design, the Fil-Am beauty queen admitted to the tweaks she'd put into her design and asked her followers for feedback. "I would love to put into production for [my brand]."
In the comment section, fellow beauty queens Sheynnis Palacios and Katrina Dimaranan cheered on R'Bonney and thanked her for making them proud.
R'Bonney exited "Project Runway" season 22 on the first week. She was announced to be among the contestants of the new season in May.
R'Bonney prides herself in making sustainable pieces and using traditional fabrics.
As a beauty queen, she made history as the first Fil-Am winner of Miss Universe back in 2022.
