PHL-made pure mango juice among products to be sold online in China
A mango juice manufactured by Cebu-based company Philippine Brand will be among the products offered by an online shop based in Fujian, China starting July 15, 2015.
Philippine Brand is one of the 11 brands of Profood International Corp which has four plants all over the Philippines. Its products are exported to many countries in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North, Central, and South America, the Caribbean, and Oceania.
Philippine Brand's mango juice, and the other products from the US, Canada, Europe, and Taiwan to be sold online, were displayed in one of the exhibition halls of the e-commerce building of the Fuzhou Pilot Free Trade Zone.
China had arranged a tour of the free trade zone, as part of its program to promote its economic initiative - the Maritime Silk Road.
Li Hua, director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs E-Public Diplomacy Division, said the Pilot Free Trade Zone provided businessmen taxation privileges and assisted them in the promotion of their goods.
Li also explained that online shopping was an emerging industry in Fuzhou, the industry capital of Fujian. “You will just have to order and it will be delivered to your house. Some goods have been stored here so it would take just a day after to deliver it to you. If it is not stored here then they have to import it, it will take some time,” he said. — DVM, GMA News
