More firms announce gasoline, diesel, kerosene hike


More firms on Monday announced a hike in pump prices of petroleum products, following last week's rollback.

In an advisory, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex) said it will increase prices per liter of gasoline by P0.30, diesel by P0.65, and kerosene by P0.50.

Cleanfuel, PTT Philippines Corp. and TOTAL Philippines Corp. said they will implement similar changes, excluding kerosene which it does not carry.

The changes will take effect 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3 for Caltex, and 6 a.m. the same day for PTT and TOTAL.

Meanwhile, Cleanfuel will implement the same changes 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4.

Petro Gazz and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. over the weekend announced similar changes, while other firms have yet to make any announcements.

According to the latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE), as of November 12, year-to-date adjustments stand at a net increase of P5.89 per liter for gasoline, P3.52 for diesel, and P0.75 for kerosene. — RSJ, GMA News
