SM Supermalls to adjust mall hours amid virus threat
SM Supermalls will adjust their mall schedule from Friday onwards amid the rise of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the country.
"We are adjusting our mall hours starting March 13 as part of our intensified efforts to protect the public from the COVID-19 virus," the company wrote in a Facebook post.
SM's malls will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.
SM on Tuesday said that it has started implementing measures to combat the virus, such as temperature checks, the installment of sanitary alcohol dispensers at all entrances, and the regular disinfection of common areas.
On Thursday, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases climbed to 52 as three new infections were recorded. — Angelica Y. Yang/BM, GMA News
