PAL has promo fares for trips from August 2020 to May 2021

Flag-carrier Philippine Airlines over the weekend announced promotional fares as low as P388 for one-way tickets for domestic trips starting next month.

In an advisory, PAL said it will offer one-way domestic tickets for as low as P388, and one-way international tickets as low as $99, covering trips from August 1, 2020 until May 31, 2021.

The promo will start on Monday, July 13, and will last until next Sunday, July 19, 2020.

The promotional fares will be available through the carrier's official website, through its reservations at (+63 2) 8855 – 8888, any PAL ticketing office, partner travel agents, or through the PAL mobile app.

In the same advisory, the carrier reiterated the stricter health safety measures to be implemented given the coronavirus pandemic:

  • Thermal scans before entering ticket office; no mask, no entry for all visitors
  • Managed social distancing inside ticketing office
  • PAL staff wearing face masks
  • Transparent barriers at the counter
  • Passengers are advised to check-in online and be at the airport early—four hours before international departures and three hours before domestic departures from airports in the Philippines
  • Face masks required for all flights
  • Up to two kilos allowed from the original seven kilos carry on
  • For Free Baggage Allowance: 5 kilos added to passenger's FBA
  • Passengers may carry on board up to 10 100ml bottles of sanitizers with up to 70% alcohol
  • Rigorous cabin cleaning and disinfection
  • Simplified meal or snack service
  • Social Distancing cabin seating options
  • HEPA filters to purify cabin air

PAL also assured that its cabin crew will be required to wear full personal protective equipment (PPE) while onboard, and will undergo medical evaluation prior to the duty. It also said its aircraft are equipped with advanced cabin air systems that continuously infuse fresh air across the cabin.

"The onboard air creates a controlled and cleaner environment comparable to hospital operating rooms that is safer than most enclosed public spaces," it said.
