AirAsia announces promo fares for Chinese New Year
AirAsia Philippines on Monday announced promotional one-way domestic fares as low as P388, in celebration of the Chinese New Year.
In an advisory, AirAsia said the promotional fares are available from January 25, 2021 until January 31, 2021 covering flights from January 25, 2021 to March 26, 2022.
The promotional fare includes flights to domestic destinations such as Caticlan, Tagbilaran, Puerto Princesa, and Cebu, among others.
"Celebrating Chinese New Year has been incorporated in Filipino culture. There are almost one million ethnic Chinese in the Philippines," AirAsia Philippines spokesperson Steve Dailisan said.
"Like our Filipino-Chinese brothers and sisters, we would like to welcome the year of the Ox with gratitude and prosperity, as it signifies positivity and represents the time for rebuilding," he added.
In the same advisory, AirAsia announced SNAP deals as low as P3,088 for both a flight and hotel stay, on top of the Lucky 8 Sale which also offers guests discounted hotel rates as low as P1,888 a night.
AirAsia Philippines resumed its services in June 2020, after nearly three months of suspension due to lockdowns designed to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The carrier, along with Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines, earlier appealed for the government to provide P8.6 billion in assistance to the airline industry given losses incurred during the period. —Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/KBK, GMA News
