Free WiFi installed in quarantine centers under OVP's Swab Cab initiative

Free WiFi was launched on Thursday at the quarantine center extension in Malabon City, which is occupied by individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 through the Office of the Vice President's Swab Cab project.

On Twitter, Vice President Leni Robredo thanked Smart Communications for providing the WiFi, which will help patients contact their loved ones while under quarantine.

"This will help make isolation less lonely and worrisome for our patients as they recover. Maraming salamat, SMART Communications! @iamMVP," she wrote.

Robredo added that the quarantine facility was opened for those who do not have houses that would be fit for isolation.

OVP's Swab Cab initiative, which uses antigen tests, first launched in Malabon City to immediately trace and treat those infected with the severe viral illness.

Robredo has consistently called for an increase in testing at high-risk areas to reach the nationwide standard positivity rate of 5%. -MDM, GMA News
