Cebu Pacific announces P88 promo fare

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific over the weekend announced P88 promotional one-way base fares, covering local destinations until the summer of 2023.

In an advisory, the carrier said the promotional fares will be available until January 2, 2023, with a travel period from Monday, December 19, until May 31, 2023.

Passengers may opt to use their existing travel funds for flights and add-ons during the seat sales, on top of other payment options such as payment centers, credit and debit cards, and e-wallets.

“We are happy to keep offering our trademark low fares as we know many travelers, Filipinos and foreigners alike, are eager to travel more these days,” Cebu Pacific Corporate Communications Director Carmina Romero said.

“Trust that we will continue to stimulate travel through our seal sales,” she added.

The carrier is currently operating at 92% of its pre-pandemic capacity, after boosting flights to local destinations such from Manila and Cebu to Davao, Dumaguete, General Santos, Tacloban, and Zamboanga, among others.

The company is set to add 11 new aircraft to its fleet in 2023, banking on the further recovery of air travel. This includes three A320neo, four A321neo, and four A330neo.

Cebu Pacific earlier unveiled plans to modernize its fleet by shifting to more fuel-efficient new engine option (neo) aircraft by 2028, in line with its sustainability initiatives. — Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/BM, GMA Integrated News
